Wellesley is an affluent suburb about 12 miles west of Boston, consistently ranked among the very top public school districts in Massachusetts. For many Chinese families, the schools are the entire reason to be here — Wellesley High School sends students to MIT, the Ivies, and the UC system year after year, with deep STEM, music, and a famously rigorous academic culture. Families move to Wellesley first and pick the house second.

The town is built around three commuter-rail village centers on the Framingham/Worcester Line — Wellesley Square, Wellesley Hills, and Wellesley Farms — each a walkable cluster of shops and cafes. The Mass Pike (I-90) is minutes away, putting Back Bay around 30 minutes off-peak. It is also a genuine college town: Wellesley College and Babson College sit within its borders, giving the town a green, academic feel.

Housing is overwhelmingly single-family — stately colonials, Tudors, and a steady stream of teardown-and-rebuild new construction. Inventory is tight and prices sit at the premium end of Greater Boston, so being ready to move quickly (pre-approval in hand) matters. Condo and townhouse options are limited and concentrated near the village squares. Wellesley's international and Asian-American community has grown alongside its reputation, visible in the schools, weekend programs, and youth activities.
